Announcing the next three Collaboratories.
Here’s our Collaboratory calendar for January and February.
Hi everybody,
I’m super-energized by this emerging community of caring, creative, mutually supportive people. I appreciate your personal commitment to grow and explore possible futures together. Thank you for being a part of it.
Today I’m announcing the topics for the next three Collaboratories. We’ll be doing one on personal journaling, one on customer creation, and one on exploring “stuckness.” Registration information is below, so if you’re in a hurry, scroll down and register.
How are we doing?
The weekly campfire call continues to refill my tank every Friday. If you haven’t joined one yet, they are free to attend, no registration required, the agenda is open, and everyone is welcome. These calls make a great capstone to why week and I always leave them energized and inspired. Joining instructions here.
Our School now has reached 34 members and two courses, the Course Creation Course, which I lead, and Liminal Explorations, led by Mike Parker.
Mike’s course kicks off this Thursday, January 18th, at 10 AM Pacific (1 PM Eastern, 6 PM GMT). I’ve signed up. This is a $450 course and Mike’s offering it at an introductory price of $150. There’s still time to join us for this deep dive into your relationship with your subconscious mind. Sign up here.
My goal is to continue to grow this wonderful community slowly and organically, without losing the magic. By the end of 2024 I’m hoping to see us reach 100 members and launch at least three more courses, for a total of five. If you’d like to offer a course, let me know!
I still don’t have a great name for the person who leads a course. “Teacher” doesn’t feel right for a School of the Possible. Teachers provide answers. We want to lead with questions. Our courses are not about experts teaching things that are already known. They are about curious, passionate people with the courage to lead guided explorations into unknown terrain. Guide? Pathfinder? Navigator? For now I’m sticking with leader until we can find something better.
The course leader is the person who holds the burning question, frames the exploration, and keeps the cohort on track for the duration of the course.
If you’d like to lead an exploration, reply to this email and we can set up a chat. But read this first!
Collaboratory #1.
Our first Collaboratory was a great success. We had about 25 people show up. Here are a few snapshots. If you were in the Course Creation Course, the format will probably be familiar.
School of the Possible members get a free pass to all Collaboratories. If you’re not a member yet you can upgrade your subscription here.
Starting in February, Collaboratories will be held on the first and third Wednesday of every month from 9-10:30 AM Pacific (Noon-1:30 PM Eastern, 5-6:30 PM GMT). This should make it easier to protect the time on your calendar.
For the next three Collaboratories I have decided to offer single-event tickets for $25 each. I’m not promising to do this forever though, as it’s a bit of a hassle to set up!
