The Monday memo is food for thought to fuel your week.
Hi everyone,
How many times have you said, or heard someone say, “that’s the story of my life”?
Imagine that every experience in your life is a scene from a movie. What would that mean? How would it change the way you play your role?
A movie tells a story. In a movie, every scene has a purpose that moves the story forward. What if every scene in your life moved the story forward?
Exercise.
Here’s an experiment you can try this week.
Imagine the moments of your life are scenes in a movie. When you find yourself in a scene, pause and ask yourself:
What is the setting?
Who are the characters?
What is this scene about?
What is the transformation that is occurring here?
What is your role in the transformation?
Are you the main character in this scene, or are you playing a supporting role in someone else’s story? What is their story about, right now?
Think about how you enter and exit the scenes in your life.
Think about how the scenes work together to create a story.
Now: Act out the scene in the way it wants to be played.

In two weeks, on Wednesday, April 17th, Sketchnoting author Mike Rohde will be leading us in an introduction to sketching projects.
Upcoming Collaboratories will feature guests like Dan Klyn, Ingrid Lill, and Jorge Arango.

I joined the last cohort and really enjoyed it. Mike creates a warm and inviting atmosphere which invites every participant to explore at their own pace. Learn more.
