There’s something that happens when you take a walk. You absorb your surroundings. A walk in a city neighborhood is different from a walk in the park or a walk in the countryside. You notice things. You overhear random conversations. Your surroundings influence your thoughts.
Exercise.
Take a walk with intention, holding a question in your mind, like “what shall I write for my newsletter today?” Hold the question in your mind and walk for 30 minutes, paying attention to your surroundings. What comes up?
When you return from your walk, write down or sketch your thoughts. See what happens.
