Hi there,

We kick off Project Kairos 21 hours from now, and I couldn’t be more excited! Are you ready?

As our first exercise, I will be asking you to distill your project down to a simple sentence or phrase that fits on a sticky note. Below, I’m sharing these “project pixels” from our spring 2025 session, Project Janus. I hope these will inspire you. So if you haven’t done this yet, take some time today to think about what you want to accomplish in the next six weeks.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

  1. Pick a project that’s just for you. It could be a personal project, like a kitchen remodel or learning how to paint with watercolors. Or it could be a professional project, like re-thinking and refreshing your business offering, or designing and delivering a workshop. Either way, it should be something that’s meaningful to you. Be ready to be asked, “are you being true to yourself?”

  2. Stretch yourself. Pick something that challenges you. Lean into uncertainty. If you know the outcome in advance, it’s not a creative project. A good creative project is like an adventure — you want to have an idea of what “done” looks like, but enough uncertainty that there is a real chance of failure.

If you haven’t decided on your project yet, don’t worry. You can just write “I don’t know” on your sticky. I wanted to share these with you in case you could use a little inspiration.

Once we have collected our starting set of “project pixels” we will sort them as a group to see what kinds of relationships and affinities we can find between the projects and create our Kairos map.

If you’re on the fence about whether to join us or not, here’s a short description of project studio sessions which will give you an idea of what to expect.

If you haven’t joined yet, this is your last call to join Project Kairos!
