Self-organizing project studio
Punk-rock project studio starts next week!
Hi everyone,
I’m happy to share that Claire Mendelsohn and Satora Oswald are going to host a project studio sprint while I’m on retreat.
For those of you who have never experienced a project studio sprint before, it’s a six-week period of time where we meet weekly to declare intentions and move our personal projects forward.
Here’s a description of what it is and how it works.
In Claire’s words:
“We are planning to bridge the 2-month pause and meet on Wednesdays at the usual time (9:00PT / 12:00ET / 18:00CET) to continue to support each other with our creative endeavors. It will most likely be a little more punk rock (not as together as Dave’s sessions), but together we can make it useful and rewarding during his downtime.
We plan to meet from January 7 through February 11, 2026 (6 meetings). We can all decide together if we want to do an Open House at the end (February 18).”

I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to see members self-organizing to continue working together during this pause.
I’m sure you will join me in thanking Satora and Claire for this thoughtful and beautiful proposal.
I’m excited to see what transpires. I plan to attend at least the first session, maybe more, and I’ll be sending my note-taker so if we’re lucky the sessions will be recorded. I expect this will create some interesting ideas for me to parse as I reflect on how to proceed with our work together.
The project doesn’t have a code name yet so we’ll have to hold our breath while Claire and Satora decide what to call it.

See you there?
