I'm with you on the absurdity of daylight savings. When I've worked within international organisations such as Mozilla and Moodle I've tried (and failed) to get people to schedule meetings with UTC as a reference point. Then all that happens is that the meeting time changes for the people whose territory is shifting their clocks.

Crazy! If we could at least all agree to do it at the same time, but no, we get a week or two of craziness…
